Ida Horner is the founder of Ethnic Supplies Ltd., an online social enterprise that enables East African women involved in handicrafts and textile production access western markets with their wares.
She is the Chairperson of a community development charity, LET THEM HELP THEMSELVES OUT OF POVERTY that works to address day to day community challenges in Ruhanga, in south western Uganda. She is also the founder and curator of Africa On The Blog, a multi Author and the fastest growing blog written by Africans. As a community development enthusiast, she writes and speaks extensively on rural and community development at Ethnic Supplies, and through her development podcast which can be found on iTunes.
She earned a BA with Honors in Housing Management and Development and a Masters Degree in International Relations and Globalization.
She was born in Uganda and currently lives in Walton on Thames, Surrey, England.
